Last night the CCR2 Board of Education approved some incentives to help attract and retain bus drivers which include:
1. New and returning driver incentive: paying for training & testing. We would pay them $15.47 an hour for training (our current step one) and then reimburse them for licensing costs up to $100. • 16-20 hours of training $247.52-$309.40 per driver • Current licensed drivers renew every 6 years
2. Activity trips: guarantee $50 minimum per trip. $15.47 an hour (with the understanding that routes are the primary responsibility).
3. Coach drivers: Coaches who drive their own trips will receive $50 for driving. Coaches who drive other team trips will receive the hourly rate of $15.47 with the guarantee of $50 minimum.

Bus Driver
The Crawford County R-II School District is seeking to hire bus drivers immediately. Essential Job Duties Including, But Not Limited To:
- Transport students over specified routes according to an established time schedule
- Transport students to events and field trips
- Comply with traffic regulations
- Drive safely and professionally
- Enforce the student discipline code
- Perform required pre-trip inspections
- Supervise students while transporting them
- Monitor and report fuel consumption, mileage and passenger numbers
- Report delays, accidents and emergencies
- Inspect the bus thoroughly before and after each trip
Qualifications and Benefits:
- Class P with S endorsement required (bus drivers license training is available if not currently licensed)
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Crawford County R-II operates on a 4-day work week

- Commensurate with experience
- Extra-curricular trips with additional pay available
