CCR2 students had a great time at the 2026 Back to School Festival set up by Melanie Weber and Niki Hulsey. Free haircuts, physicals, backpacks, wildcat cups, snacks, and lots of other great items were passed out to help students get ready for the new school year. We even had a drawing for TV's. All of our staff are excited to welcome our students back and get started on a fantastic new school year.

Today we had the opportunity to welcome our newest teachers and administrators to Crawford County R-II! We are excited for the energy, experience, and enthusiasm they bring to our schools and can’t wait to see the impact they will make on our students and community.
Please join us in giving our new Wildcats a warm welcome as we kick off the 2026–2027 school year!

The Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) and End-of-Course (EOC) exams are state-required assessments developed under Senate Bill 380, also known as the "Outstanding Schools Act" of 1993. This legislation directed the Missouri State Board of Education to adopt academic performance standards that define the knowledge, skills, and competencies students need to progress through Missouri’s public education system, graduate from high school, and be prepared for college or the workforce.
Each year, school districts are required to communicate with families about how and when assessment results will be shared. This year, Individual Score Reports (ISRs) for MAP and EOC assessments will be sent home with students on Friday, September 4, 2026.
If you have questions about ISRs or the assessment process, please contact your building counselor for support.
Elementary: Casey Bladdick, cbladdick@ccr2.org
Middle School: McKenzie Clark, mclark@ccr2.org
High School: Tonya Hulbert, thulbert@ccr2.org

Last week, we celebrated our first-ever Wildcat with Distinction Awards Ceremony, recognizing seniors who earned Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, and Summa Cum Laude honors for their academic achievements and dedication throughout high school. During the ceremony, students received their academic honors and cords in recognition of their accomplishments.
What made the evening truly special was hearing students recognize the teachers and staff members who helped shape their journey. From stories of encouragement and kindness to moments of support during difficult times, it was a reminder that education is about so much more than grades. It is about relationships and the people who help students believe in themselves.
We are incredibly proud of these students for their perseverance, hard work, and commitment to excellence. Congratulations to all of our Wildcat with Distinction honorees, and thank you to the teachers and staff members who continue to make a lasting impact on the lives of our students. It was a beautiful reminder of the difference a caring educator can make.

Mrs. June Miller's students created some outstanding end-of-the-year projects. Way to go!

We've had a very busy week here at CCR2. We want to thank our Nurses, Teachers, Principals, and our Lunch Heroes. CCR2 is an amazing place to work because of our dedicated and amazing staff.

Happy Administrative Professional's Day! We are blessed to have a great group of Administrative Professionals in the Crawford County R2 School District and they do a fantastic job of maintaining the office. Thank you for all you do!

Dr. Myra Siebert, Assistant Superintendent of Crawford County R-II School District, has been recognized by the Missouri Association of School Administrators (MASA) as the 2025-2026 Assistant Superintendent for the South Central Region. This honor is awarded to a central office leader who exemplifies excellence in educational leadership and a commitment to student success. Nominated and selected by her professional peers, Dr. Siebert’s recognition reflects her dedication to continuous improvement, strong leadership, and unwavering support of students, staff, and the Cuba Wildcat community.

Congratulations to Savannah Vass, Jerri Forester, Katherine Lilly Becherer, and Makenlei Shafferkoetter for earning Individual Academic All-State honors. We are also proud to recognize our Varsity team for qualifying for Academic All-State with an impressive team GPA of 3.330. Great job representing our school through your hard work and dedication in the classroom.

Our Future Teachers students traveled to St. James for an inspiring FTA event! Students had the opportunity to learn from several outstanding teacher presenters, including CCR-II’s own Wanda Reeves, and they heard from keynote speaker Todd Whitaker, a nationally known educator and author of What Great Teachers Do Differently. Students also explored opportunities at the college fair and learned more about pathways into the teaching profession. Thank you to St. James High School for hosting such a great event!

Thanks to the amazing generosity of our community, along with Shop with a Cop, the Angel Tree Program, and the help of Melanie Weber, K–12 School-Based Social Worker, we were able to spread holiday joy to 81 families and 169 kids with Christmas presents and holiday food baskets. None of this would have been possible without everyone coming together for our families. ❤️🎄

On Friday, Cuba High School proudly recognized students who scored Advanced or Proficient on the MAP and EOC tests from the 2025 testing session. Students who maintained a 3.6 GPA or higher during the previous school year were also honored for their outstanding achievement.
Keep working hard, Wildcats — your dedication continues to make us proud!
PS: We have a lot of photos with this, so you will see this post several times!

Our students had fun with the soap and pepper experiment! A tiny drop of soap made the pepper “run away,” showing how soap breaks water’s surface tension—and why it’s so good at keeping us clean! Wash those hands!

Today was a great day for our first Back to School Fair. We had somewhere between 150-200 kids show up with their parents. The fair included free haircuts, free backpacks, updating registration forms, physicals, immunizations, and so many other fun things. All in All the day was a huge success thanks to Melanie Weber (our School Based Social Worker), Nurse Niki Hulsey, and everyone else who either volunteered, planned, donated or took part in some other way.

Thanks Jacie for helping me announce Attendance Recovery Wednesday (3/26) and Thursday (3/27) from 8 am-1 pm.
