Last two parent events of the school year at CMS! 8th grade Movin' Up celebration Wednesday, May 22 at 2:00 pm. Check in begins at 1:30 pm in the front office. Awards for 5th-8th grade will be Thursday, May 23 at the following times: 6th grade-8:15 am 5th grade-9:15 am 7th grade-10:15 am We dismiss at 1:35 pm!

Thanks to our rain dances, the Camp Mihaska trip is back on! We look forward to a fun day!

CMS students who sold spices were awarded with a a bowling excursion in the afternoon on May 14, 2023. 5th-8th grade students attended this trip-bowling, games and food were enjoyed by all of us. We had a great time and the kids were excellent!

The perfect attendance students are headed to Slick City Action Park! It's going to be fun!!

CMS is looking for good, medium size boxes for teachers to pack up their rooms for the summer. if you have any that you would like to get rid of please let us know. We'll take them! Thanks!

Happy Monday CMS parents. Just a note that our spices are ready to go! These will be given to the students tomorrow or you can come by the school to pick them up anytime during the day tomorrow until 5:00 pm. We ask that if your child has a larger order and they ride a bus that you pick them up from school. Thank you to all the students and parents who were able to support our fundraiser! This money goes to support all of the student and staff incentives, rewards, activities, and fieldtrips we do throughout the school year. We are grateful for a supportive community.

The 8th-grade students went on a walking field trip around Cuba to learn about the murals. It was a great day and a great experience for the kids.

The staff was treated to snow cones on Tuesday for teacher appreciation.

6th Grade April Students of the Month: Maddison Bonney is one of the happiest students in 6th grade. She gets along with all her teachers and the students say that everyone likes her. Teachers notice that she is always patient and kind to others. In addition, she is a hard worker. Sherlyn is a dependable student with a sweet, quiet demeanor. Even though she is quiet, her sense of humor is stellar. Students say that she is loyal and gets all of her work done on time. Teachers point out that she is a joy to have in class and turns in great work.

Hey CMS! Don't forget the CMS Variety show is tonight! There will be food, demonstrations, projects on display, the book fair, and a map quest! Then of couse 8th Grade Night at the Museum at 6:00 pm in the gym. Doors open at 5:30-7:00 pm for food and all other activities. Hope to see you tonight!

The Middle School Drama Club had a very successful first night performing Captain Bree and Her Lady Pirates! Two encore performances Friday, May 3 at 6 and Saturday, May 4 at 2 in the High School Commons.

6th Grade March Students of the Month: Nikole consistently completes her work and does so happily. Nikole gets along with everyone and other students say she has a loving, quiet personality. Teachers report that Nikole is dependable and a joy to have in class. Liam is a happy student who is always uplifting everyone around him. Students talk about how nice he is. Teachers point out that he is easy to get along with and performs well in class.
