Cuba hosted their annual Cuba Lakes XC Meet yesterday and the following athletes earned a medal:
Karter Kaysinger placed 5th
Cooper Meadows placed 13th
Wyatt Littrell placed 14th
Ella Basham placed 3rd
Anslee Stubblefield placed 6th
Traelynn Cunningham placed 10th
The CMS XC Team raced in the MS XC Championships this past weekend and represented Cuba well! Karter Kaysinger- 21:19 Billy Thompson- 19:24 Preston Hulsey- 17:47 Wyatt Littrell 17:44 Ella Basham- 15:39 - 23rd Place; All- State Anslee Stubblefield- 15:40 - 26th Place
Today Boone decided to buy extra ice cream from the PBS cart.
He randomly handed them out to 5th and 6th grade students at lunch today.
We are so proud of the random act of kindness he demonstrated today.

Congratulations to these students for earning the most AR points in their grade levels: Lillian Dickens (8), Julia Sousa-Somma (7), Vivien Cremer (6), and Addilynn Greenwalt (5).
These students were selected by staff to have their posters entered into a contest with the MO Dept of Transportation. Congratulations and good luck!
These four students were selected by staff to have their posters submitted to a contest by the American Cancer Society about the harmful effects of Radon Gas. Congrats and good luck!
Anslee was given a positive office referral today by Mrs. Haist for helping Mrs. Farris with a receipe so the students could cook while Mrs. Haist was out for a meeting.
Vivien Cremer scored 100% on her 5 Themes of Geography Test in her social studies class with Mrs. Jones! We are so proud of her!
The 8th-grade team would also like to congratulate Matthew for being a great example of what it means to be a helpful, kind Wildcat!
6th Grade September Students of the Month"
Ayden Mabe: Since the beginning of the year, Ayden has consistently shown that he possesses an abundance of character. His teachers have witnessed him show grace in the face of adversity, patience with those who do not catch on as quickly as he does, and persistence when he doesn't understand something right away. Ayden truly embodies the three R's.
Raven Finley: Raven is the definition of dependable and responsible. She shows up each day with a smile and is always on task. Her positive attitude toward school is contagious to those around her.
The 8th-grade team wants to congratulate Amelie on receiving the September Student of the Month! She is a great example of what it means to be a Wildcat!
Congratulations to Matthew Herwig for getting a perfect score on September's ELA Evaluate test!
The 5th grade field trip has been cancelled today due to the weather. A rescheduled date has not been set at this time.
Ms. Maxwell's 8th grade ELA class welcomes everyone back to school!

I want to say a big thank you to Ryan Thompson for donating a medical scooter to the school for staff and student use when they are injured.
CMS Girls and Boys Basketball Tryouts begin Tuesday (9/5) 3:45-5:45. Boys will be in the MS Gym, girls will be in the ES Gym. Students participating in cross country will begin tryouts on the 6th. Please reach out to Coach Orr, Coach Mullally or Mrs. Dace if you have any further questions.

Registration and new enrollments for the middle school is Tuesday, August 8 through Friday, August 11 from 9:00-2:00 and during open house from 6:00 to 7:30 on Thursday, August 17. You will be able to do online registration to update student information beginning on Tuesday, August 8.
