Congrats to Preston Heads!

Congrats to Jesse Elrod!

Tonight is Kindergarten Expo! Join us for this open-house style event. Families do not have to stay the entire time, but rather drop in anytime between 5 and 7pm. Our future Wildcats will participate in early childhood development activities, games, and have an opportunity to check out a school bus! Parents will be able to schedule their child's kindergarten screening appointment and meet our awesome kindergarten team! See you tonight!

Calling the MS Science Olympiad team! The competition at Missouri S&T is still on for Saturday, February 22. If you are able to come to school on Friday, Ms. Kohler will be at school from 12:00 to 3:00 pm for anyone who wants to come to work and finalize their projects. This is not mandatory. If you can't make it due to road conditions that is fine. Ms. Kohler just wants to open up this time if you can.
You need to be at school no later than 7:00 am on Saturday morning.

Stay safe wildcats!

No School Wednesday, February 19, 2025

Luckily we were able to get our monthly PD in yesterday. Teachers participated in a "speed round" activity to share out instructional strategies, student engagement and classroom management ideas to add to their teacher toolkits.

Cuba Elementary will be extending the World's Finest Chocolate Sales through Thursday, February 27th. We understand that the recent weather is out of everyone's control and has impeded sales. We do not want to put families in a bind with getting chocolate sold and money collected.
Families can continue to pick up chocolate, when school is in session, through 2/27. We ask that all money be turned in by Friday, March 7th. Thank you.

Rescheduled!

Good Morning,
Due to the impending weather forecast, there will be No School on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
Additionally, since school was canceled on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, we will have our last make-up day on Monday, May 5, 2025, in accordance with our 2024-25 calendar. School will be in session on the following Mondays:
Monday, March 10, 2025
Monday, April 7, 2025
Monday, May 5, 2025
Any additional days missed due to inclement weather will be forgiven by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Attached is a snow route that may be used in the future. We will provide further details, including specific dates, if and when these routes are implemented.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Check in at the high school office!

Super Bowl Spirit Week fun! 🏈

Kindergarten "understood the assignment" when asked to cover their snowman cookies with sugar! The extra sugar is supposed to represent the amount of snow we get this winter! ☃️
❄️Stay Warm! ❄️

Yes, we're still selling chocolate! Cuba Elementary office will be open 10am-6:00pm on Monday, February 17th if you need to turn in money or pick up more chocolate!
Depending on the weather, we will consider extending the fundraiser an extra week if needed. Thank you for your support! ❤️

All Elementary Valentine’s Day parties will be rescheduled for next Friday, February 21st.
The grade level party times will remain the same for convenience and clarity.
K 8:10-9:10
1 2:30-3:30
2 12:30-1:30
3 8:15-9:15
4 2:00-3:00
In the event that we are out of school next Friday due inclement weather, then we will ask that classroom teachers reschedule parties at their own convenience. Meaning that we will not have families come into the building for a building-wide event and teachers will pick a day and time that works best with their schedule. We value our time with your children and want to ensure that we provide direct instruction when possible.
We still plan to deliver FFA Valentines to students as we receive them. Thank you for your patience and understanding! Happy Valentine's Day!

Mr. Case's students had to present 1 minute narratives about one of their classmates after conducting an interview. Very entertaining and enlightening.

Don't forget this one!

Enrichment activities in art included cutting precisely to make tiny envelopes!
