Tomorrow is you last opportunity to view the GVC Art Show a Gallery Zeke in Steelville from 2:30-4:00. Cuba High School artists have many works on display and have won the GVC Art Show 4 consecutive years including this year. Get out to Steelville and see some of the fabulous work that our students have created.
Cuba High School Students visited the ECC College Art day in Union to participate in several workshops to promote their Arts Department for aspiring art majors. Such a fun day!
The Middle School Boys Track relay teams are in FIRE!! At Hermann on April 21st Tristan Cross, Noah Shores, Oliver Scharfenberg and Spencer Walker ran a 1:46 topping the 2011 school record of 1:49 in the 4x200m relay.

Congratulations to the boys 4x100 team of Noah Shores, Spencer Walker, Tristan Cross and Oliver Scharfenberg. This quartet ran a time of 50.79 seconds besting the old record set in 2017 of 51.30.
The boys 4x400 team OBLITERATED the old record of 4:09.56 (set last year) by almost 3.5 seconds running a 4:06.13! This relay consisted of Noah Shores, Tristan Cross, Oliver Scharfenberg and Cole Elsey.

We were hanging new plaques today at Cuba High School, Congratulations to the 2026 Math Competition team and the 2025-26 Girls Basketball team for putting new hardware on the wall outside of Mike Voight Gymnasium. In order to make room we had to retire the 1983 Volleyball 2nd Place District and 2001 Girls GVC Championship plaques. Congratulations to these two teams, your accomplishments will be forever recognized in the digital display outside of the gym. Its a Great Day to be a WILDCAT!!!
It’s National Home Visiting Week, and Crawford County R-II is fortunate to have Mrs. Lorenz serving as our Parents as Teachers Educator. She is an incredible asset to our district, providing meaningful, hands-on experiences that support early childhood development while building strong, trusting relationships with families.
Parents as Teachers is an evidence-based early childhood program that partners with families from pregnancy through kindergarten entry. The program focuses on child development, school readiness, and family well-being through personalized home visits, developmental screenings, and connections to community resources. These services help parents better understand their child’s growth and learning, empowering them to be their child’s first and most important teacher.

Liam has grown tremendously this year. He continues to work hard and push himself out of his comfort zone to achieve his goals in both the classroom and drama club. He is consistent, reliable, and level-headed, and he has a slew of friends who respect him (as evidenced in their words and writing). His perseverance will take him far in life!
Harlow has truly earned this honor through her consistent dedication and positive attitude. She is kind and respectful to everyone around her, creating a welcoming and supportive classroom environment. Her attentiveness and strong organizational skills help her stay on top of all responsibilities, and she consistently completes assignments on time with care to meet expectations. In addition to her strong work ethic, Harlow is friendly and always willing to lend a hand to classmates, making her a valued member of the school community. Her hard work and character make her truly deserving of this recognition.

After a delayed start due to a pop up thunderstorm last Thursday the Cuba LadyCats track team won our Cuba Invitational Track Meet by 33 points over the nearest competition.
